A Mini Guide to Awaken To Your Life Purpose

I love this quote from Mastin Kipp. He is a straight talker, there is no BS when it comes to his advice!
Take the four points above. How many can you tick off? Chances are you may never have asked yourself the right questions before, such as:

• What is life purpose?
• Do I have a life purpose? And if so what is my unique life purpose?
• How do I bring my purpose to life?
• What does true abundance mean to me?
• What problems am I good at solving that also bring me joy?
• What daily action do I take towards achieving my purpose?

Take a moment to write the answers to these questions. Go on, it will only take a few minutes!

My idea of true prosperity is having the freedom to be, do and have what you desire. It’s not just about money, although that is a big part of it.

Imagine having…

The freedom to be yourself and not feel you have to play a role in your work or private life. Imagine feeling healthy, energised and full of vitality. After all, a lot of people who are “healthy” don’t feel good inside.

Imagine having the freedom to do what you want, to have the successful, fulfilling career you truly want, to have the time to work, rest and play, on your own terms (not just during your two week annual holiday).

And imagine the freedom to have the things and the experiences you crave – the clothes, the new car, the home, the holiday, the relationship, the money, the peace and happiness [INSERT OTHER DESIRES].

Certainly money and wealth can offer some of these freedoms, but money is a means to an end, not the end in itself. So many people get this mixed up. They believe that money is the end goal, but it’s SO not.

The goal is to live a FULL life of freedom and possibility, of health AND well being, of success and fulfilment, of ease and flow, of abundance and prosperity. To have it ALL, not just the money.

Sadly…

Most people are far from having this experience of life. I was talking with a friend recently and she was debating what to do with her career. Her role is demanding and is only going to become more so , with longer hours and more responsibilities. Being a mother of two young kids, she wondered was it worth it or would she be happier working part time in a less demanding role so she could spend more time with her kids. She thought about it and decided to stick with the current job, after all in two years she’d be entitled to shares in the company!

According to Rebecca Campbell “patriarchy tells us that if we follow a linear model everything will work out. Do long hours, keep your head down, just stick at it, you will be rewarded in the end. The old rules of pushing on through for some promise or reward in the future no longer apply.”

False Prosperity

Having plenty of money but no time to spend it is false prosperity. Having money but no time to enjoy precious family moments is false prosperity. Having money but no sense of peace and happiness is false prosperity.

It’s time that stop kidding ourselves and realise the truth about prosperity. Working in the soul sucking job to earn the money, to pay the bills, to get the car, the house, the clothes, the this, that and the other is not true prosperity. In fact, it’s quite the opposite, it’s a form of first world poverty. This may sound extreme but something extreme needs to be said to wake us out of our collective denial and illusion.

Your Soul’s Calling

The days of working in the soul sucking job as a means to “make a living” are coming to an end. Our souls are calling for us to be more and to remember who we truly are. And since you are reading this, your soul is calling you! It’s time to become more. More of who you truly are – more loving, more fulfilled, more accepting, more creative, more expressive, more expansive, more free…

In his book The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success, Deepak Chopra says “you have a unique talent and a unique way of expressing it. There is something that you can do better than anyone else in the whole world–and for every unique talent and unique expression of that talent, there are also unique needs. When these needs are matched with the creative expression of your talent, that is the spark that creates affluence. Expressing your talents to fulfil needs creates unlimited wealth and abundance.”

Let’s just look at that last line again “Expressing your talents to fulfil needs creates unlimited wealth and abundance.” Unlimited! Expressing your talents means doing what you love. Talents are different to skills. Skills are learnt but talent is innate. And if you don’t know what your talents are, don’t worry, you haven’t been left out. As Deepak says, “There is something that you can do better than anyone else in the whole world.” How exciting is that? To know that you have something so worthwhile to offer that nobody else can do in the unique way you express this talent. If that is not exciting, what is?

Soul Searching

So now, you have some soul searching to do. What does true prosperity mean to you? What are your unique talents? How can you express your talents to fulfil the needs of others? Are you open to receiving the true prosperity that you deserve?

This is a big block which so many people have – MONEY! Don’t worry, it’s not necessarily our fault, we have been hearing so many false statements about money since we were little and these false beliefs have been programmed into our subconscious. For example, say you want to receive money doing the work you love but you have a limiting belief that “you have to work hard to receive money”. Well, doing the work you love doesn’t seem like working hard, in fact it’s quite enjoyable. So how can you receive money for doing something you enjoy if you have an underlying belief that you have to work hard to get money? The answer is you can’t, or at least not the amount you want to receive.

You have to first work on:

1. Identifying your limiting beliefs around money.
2. Releasing these limiting beliefs.
3. Programming new positive money beliefs.

If you have been attuned to Reiki, you can use the Reiki healing to help with this process. Don’t worry if you don’t have Reiki, you can still do this practice and get amazing results. The Reiki energy does speed up the process, and if you really want to you can also work with a Reiki practitioner on this. Tell them that you are working on your money blocks and take it from there!

1. Identifying Your Limiting Beliefs Around Money

• Take some time to sit in meditation, without distraction (or simply sit still and close your eyes if you don’t know how to meditate.)
• Think back to your childhood and think about your first memory of money.
• If nothing comes up immediately, sit and wait. Something will come to the surface if you are still and open to whatever comes up.
• Was this memory positive or negative?
• Whatever came up write it down. If more than one memory came up, write each one down.
• If nothing came up from your childhood but something more recent was predominant, take note. Don’t dismiss it just because it wasn’t a childhood memory! Accept whatever is coming up for you at this point in time.

2. Releasing These Limiting Beliefs

• Next, take one memory at a time and begin sending Reiki healing to that limiting belief. Send Reiki for as long as needed, until you feel that the belief has been healed and released.
• You may need to do this once, or a number of times before the belief has been healed, depending on how ingrained the belief is.
• If you don’t have Reiki, replay the memory in your mind but this time replay how you would have wanted it to play out. For example, if your parents told you “money doesn’t grow on trees”, hear them telling you there is plenty of money, that you are deserving and that there will always be enough. Imagine how this feels to hear these words? Relief, reassuring, loving? Allow yourself to feel these emotions.
• Try combining the memory replay with sending Reiki at the same time if you are using Reiki for this process.

3. Programming New Positive Money Beliefs

• So now that you have identified your money blocks and worked on releasing them, it’s time to move onto creating new positive beliefs.
• Think about your ideal life two years ahead.
• You have now manifested all the money that you need and more.
• Your life is even better than you can imagine.
• Picture in as much detail as possible how your life now looks and feels.
• Use all your senses to experience this new life – sight, touch, smell, taste and hearing.
• Dream big and don’t analyse if something is “realistic” or not. But be sure to only visualise for the highest good of all concerned. (Don’t imagine getting a promotion at the expense of someone else. Instead visualise everyone in their perfect roles.)
• Send Reiki to this visualisation for at least 10 minutes.
• To maximise the benefits, do this on a daily basis.

If you are working on this process for a while, you may find that new limiting beliefs that you weren’t previously aware of start to surface. Don’t worry, this is normal. Often when we remove one layer, another deeper layer is revealed. It is an ongoing process, so don’t be afraid to go back and work on part one and two when needed.

This is also a wonderful practice to do with your partner or within a healing group. The group energy will speed up the process for everyone, so be prepared for change!

It’s been a long time coming, after years of seeking, reading, learning and teaching. I finally get what it’s all about. It’s been with me all along, I even used to sing about it as a child in choir practice. The words have greater meaning now though. I understand at a deeper level what they mean.

Let me explain, while practicing my daily Course in Miracles exercise it stated, “I will not value what is valueless, and only what has value do I seek, for only that do I desire to find.” As I settled into meditation to contemplate this idea, the song that I used to sing in choir came to mind. Now, as many of you know, the angels often communicate with me through songs, sending poignant messages through the lyrics. The hymn that came up explained everything so beautifully through one simple line: “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

So what does this really mean? It simply reveals that none of the material things that we think we want will ever bring us any lasting satisfaction or happiness. There will always be more to achieve, to do, and to acquire. Where do we stop? Instead of seeking these things, these personal (ego) gains, seek first to be of service and to help others. Once your only goal is to help through whichever means you wish, then and only then will all the other things – good health, loving relationships, material wants, be offered to you in abundance. You won’t have to seek for them, as they will flow to you with ease.

Live your life this way, searching first and foremost for ways you can help others, and you will finally find peace and happiness. All the other things you thought you wanted will no longer take precedent but will be there for you in abundance.

“Seek ye first the Kingdom of God”…
Seek only to be of service to God.

Being of service to God doesn’t mean taking a vow of poverty and becoming a priest or nun. It doesn’t mean treating everything with grave seriousness. It simply means asking God for guidance and direction in all that you do, and then carrying out what God wills for you. The beauty of this is that the way in which you carry out Gods will is up to you. The best way is usually to follow your heart, helping others using your unique gifts and talents in doing what you love to do. In this way, you’re being of service, gaining great satisfaction and fulfillment while living your life purpose. The other way around¬–the way most people operate–is doing something, anything to make money, in order to be able to buy loads of things and experiences in order to feel happy, but all the while feeling miserable! We feel stuck doing jobs that we hate in order to pay the bills and get by, wondering why we can’t seem to break through invisible barriers in terms of finances or romance or health.

In this way, we surrender to the will of God, giving up what the ego has planned in place of a better plan that God has for us. This can be hard at first. The ego will feel vulnerable and you might think that everything will fall apart if you don’t try to control the outcome. Everything may well “fall apart” but once you trust that whatever you don’t need will fall away and whatever you do need will be presented at the perfect moment, then you no longer need to worry about loosing something that in reality you don’t want. The ego may try to make you believe that you need a certain relationship or car or job but if you are prepared to let go of anything that doesn’t serve your highest benefit, then it will be replaced by something better at the appropriate time. So in reality you’re not giving up anything but gaining something of greater value. By clinging to things through fear of loosing them, we live in a constant state of worry. Why not just let go and trust that you’ll be guided to the right things, people and situations at the right time? This may involve some patience but anything worthwhile is worth waiting for!

…”And his righteousness”…
By thinking and acting honestly and lovingly.

Thinking and acting honestly involves first being truthful to yourself. So many of us fool ourselves into thinking we want something that we don’t really want. We make ourselves believe we are something that we are not. We live a lie and spend all our energy acting out this lie, trying to be something or someone we are not. Why do we do this? To please others? We can never truly please someone else by being something we are not. We can never please others by being who we truly are either, but we can please ourselves. This doesn’t mean being conceited or egotistic, on the contrary, it means lovingly being completely truthful, honest and real. It means having the courage to say and do what your heart guides you to do and not fearing repercussions. Perhaps knowing there may well be repercussions but having the courage to speak your truth and be heard.
Secondly, it involves thinking and acting honestly and lovingly not just in relation to ourselves but towards others also. Thinking loving thoughts about others, releasing judgment, forgiving when needed, having compassion and understanding. But most of all, releasing ourselves from blame and self-judgement when we do slip up. Making a concerted effort to live His righteousness each day, each moment.

…”And all these things will be added unto you.”
And everything you desire will come to you effortlessly (and more).

Put others first, think and act honestly and lovingly and the things you desire will come to you, without having to strive to get them. Ironically, you may not even want the things you thought you wanted when living this way. Your joy and fulfillment will come from seeing the happiness light up the faces of those you have helped. You will be happier receiving a kind word of gratitude from those you have been of service to than from buying some material item. Your cup will runneth over and happiness will suffuse your life. You may gratefully receive all that you desire knowing that in receiving you are allowing others the pleasure of giving and the cycle continues to flow. You know that through not receiving, you are not being gracious; rather you stifle the natural flow of the universe. You keep receiving and the universe keeps giving and in turn you have even more to give back.

Letting go of all the false beliefs that you may have learned such as not being worthy or deserving or being greedy if you receive “too much” or any number of other beliefs, you now know that you are more than worthy, you are deserving and you can never receive too much, as abundance is your true nature.

“Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Alleluia, Alleluia”
